Rides take place every week throughout the year. They are free and there is no need to book - just turn up with a roadworthy bike. All types of bike are welcome including electric bikes. There is no need to wear special clothes and it is up to you whether or not you wear a helmet.
Cyclesolihull offers four main types of ride:
Sunday Cycle Rides
These are weekly starting at 2 pm (April to September) or 1.30 pm (October to March) from one of over 20 starting points around the borough. They are between 5 and 25 miles long.

Taster Rides
During spring and summer, one Sunday ride a month is a Taster Ride which is a shorter ride of about 5 miles long. These rides are an ideal introduction to Cyclesolihull rides for new cyclists and families with children. They are just like the other rides but much shorter!
Evening Explorer Rides
These are weekly rides on selected weekdays from early May to mid-August. They start at 7 pm from various starting points and are about 10 miles long. They finish by 9 pm so lights are not required on the actual ride.
Sunday, Taster and Evening Explorer Rides follow one of the 50 Cyclesolihull Routes and use quiet roads and paths. They average about 8 mph including 'catch-up' stops but this may vary a little depending who is on the ride.
Saturday Stretcher Rides
These weekly rides are the longest Cyclesolihull rides at 30 miles and start at 9.30 am. They have variable routes and they may use sections of busier roads. They are faster than the Sunday and evening rides and are aimed at more experienced cyclists.
They average about 10 mph including 'catch-up' stops.
